Full Plot Details

In Las Vegas, school teachers Robinson and his wife Elizabeth are trying for a baby. While horse riding through the desert one evening, Elizabeth witnesses the execution of two coyotes and an illegal immigrant by the human trafficker Jimmy Dolan and decides to report the incident to the police. However, she loses her cellular and Dolan finds it, tracks her address down and threatens her. Elizabeth goes to the FBI with Robinson and they move to a safe house under the protection of two agents. When Elizabeth sneaks from the house to buy pregnancy tests, her car explodes and she dies. Robinson decides to avenge Elizabeth's death.

Arkansas Democrat-Gazette - 8/10 by Philip Martin...standard revenge action story that's based on a Stephen King short story. It's a misfire, but... plenty of people will probably get sucked into watching this on cable, but it's hardly worth adding to the Netflix queue.

User Review - 10/10 by Isaac K"Dolan's Cadillac" Is based on a short story by Stephen King, which draws heavy influence from Edgar Allen Poe's "The Cask Of Amontillado". The story's main focus is in the arc of descent of The protaganist, Robinson. Robinson's wife is murdered, as she was about to testify against one James Dolan. Robinson gets dragged down by his quest for revenge. WARNING **SPOILERS** . Robinson eventually comes up with a genius plan to get revenge on Dolan. You see, every month, on the first sunday of the month, Dolanb drives in his Cadillac from Las Vegas to LA. And Robison knows this. So Robinson gets a job working on a road crew. Pretty soon, there's gonna be a 3 day weekend, the roadworkers all have off. So Robinson gets to work.... Dolan on his way to LA drives right into a huge hole (Which was covered by a painting of the road) and he is trapped in his Cadillac. Robinson continues to bury Dolan alive, and as he slides the last fragment of the road back into place Dolan echoes the last lines of Poes "The Cask Of Amanillado" "For The Love Of God!" Robinson has his revenge.

The movie might have some flaws, but just a few. If you like thriller/ a little horror thrown in, check it out. p.s. Sorry if my review is not that sophisticated and in depth as you may like

User Review - 8/10 by Kyle LAnother good Stephen King adaptation and one of the best Stephen King films since The Shining. Dolan's Cadillac tells the story of a young teacher who witnesses the death of his wife in the desert and after he witnessed his wife's death he intends to avenge his wife's death by thinking of several ways on what he will do to Jimmy Dolan. This is one of the greatest Stephen King adaptations since The Shining. I find this film to be very interesting. I heard about this film and so I decided to check it out and I was amazed when I saw it. The story of the film is really dark and deep as well and the film itself is closer to the short story. Everything was really good from the start to the end the whole movie is really suspenceful, creepy and stunning as well. While the story is dark and deep the climax of the film is really dramatic and it is really creepy. Anyways the film itself doesn't have some scares and the violence isn't really gory it was just fine but the performances of Wes Bentley and Christian Slater really stunned me. The scene when Wes Bentley panics when several cars were gonna go pass by and he panics and places the detour signs in the road after he traps Jimmy Dolan in the hole was really good he knows how to act and he is one of the best actors in movie history. Christian Slater was really talented as well for his performance as the mobster Jimmy Dolan. The way Christian Slater screamed for his freedom in the scene when the car falls into the hole and Robinson starts to bury him was really good and he was good in that scene he knows how to act as well. Stephen King has bring us another good adaptation based on his short story and his stories are really good and he is extremely talented in the horror genre. Anyways I would give this film an 8/10 because the plot of the film is dark and deep. The climax of the movie is really dark, stunning, suspenceful and creepy . The performances between the two men (Wes and Christian) were really nice and the movie is really dramatic and scary as well.
