User ReviewRicardo HThis movie started off a bit iffy to me, but I enjoyed it by the end. There was so much emotion going on and it was all played convincingly. It wasn't one of those "I'm in love with a straight guy/wait maybe I can have sex with a man once" movies that was too unbelievable. The struggle each character went through was viable and made this a movie definately worth buying.
User ReviewBERT BI see a lot of gayinterest movies, but this one is realy greta to see. I recommend it to everybody!
User ReviewJeff PI loved it. That's all I need to say :)
User ReviewDavid HDog Tags Excellent performance from newcomer Paul Preiss who plays Nate, on a life long mission to find his father. Director Damion Dietz does a fine job of keeping the audience into the minds of both Preiss and Bart Fletcher who plays Andy who cannot forget his love for a marine in his past. At first I thought there was a bit too much character development with the other characters but everything fits nicely in the end. I also thought that the scenario of how the two men meet could have been more creative. That entire character could have been scraped in favor of the 2 simply meeting on the road. Wonderful film about 2 men confronting their pasts, finding their path in life and the valuable moments they share with each other on the way. 4 stars.
User Reviewl i n d'Dog Tags' was a far better movie than it had any right to be. With a cast of relative newcomers and under-appreciated veterans, it has no big names associated with it, and it's a far better film because of it. This is a movie that epitomizes everything that Hollywood mainstream isn't: Raw, real, gritty, occasionally discomfiting, and brilliantly riveting. Paul Preiss and Bart Fletcher put on a show that seems very 'slice of life'; like 2 old friends who happened to have someone follow them around for a few days and film their lives. They are very much THERE, as if no one else was watching them. I give high praise to Damion Dietz's direction and the movie's casting.
User ReviewKrista NLow budget but tender story about two guys who need to sort out their personal issues. Writer-director Damion Dietz keeps the film's pace gentle and understated, flicking around in the story through flashbacks that fill in details that are sometimes surprising, even as the main plot twists and turns as it develops
User ReviewCanem CWONDERFUL SOUNDTRACK! the movie? ahmmmm well i enjoyed it somehow, it could have been a great one, but could not, and i could not sort out why...since the acting was good, the story was good, the music was good...it felt like superficial, not going deep- the depth could be noticed but not on the screen...
User ReviewRocky SIt's a good to passable film. The script could have done with a lot of editing and been shaved down a bit to get rid of some of the unnecessary and/or convoluted plot devices early on, but the product that is there is a very good albeit very rough film that actually does a good job at being affecting.
User ReviewJames TGood Story, gives a bit of an insight into dont ask dont tell. Acting is a bit week and the sex scenes early on seemed un needed. Good story though, and reccomended
User ReviewWenter SGreat story line and great movie. Good music, just an overall good movie. you could tell it was a little bit of a lower budget movie but for what it is, the acting was pretty damn good. def. a winner for a rainy day movie. but wuts with the eyeliner..
