Full Plot Details

Mike Riggins, an imprisoned ex-US Special forces operative in Eastern Europe, is offered his freedom and money to rescue an American woman, Ana Gale, who has been kidnapped by a ruthless warlord. But, shortly after freeing her, Mike discovers that the kidnap story was just a ruse to bring Ana out into the open. Our hero suddenly finds himself and his charge being hunted by ruthless government, para-military, and underworld organizations - all who want him dead and Ana under their control. With no one to turn to, and the enemies closing in, Mike must uncover the truth about Ana and bring her to the safety of the U.S. Embassy.

User Review - 6/10 by Phil HDirect Contact is an old school action flick with some solid direction. The plot is very basic, but the action and pacing is solid. My only gripe is that Dolph Lundgren forms a cheesy romance with the girl he is rescuing and it feels forced and creepy. Other than that, its violent and entertaining, if that's what you need.

Dolph je neakav bivsi americki marinac koji guli robiju u buksi zbog neke gluposti i dobiva ponudu da spasi otetu amerikanku za primamljivu svotu love. Najjace u svemu tome je da se radnja odvija u neakvoj izmisljenoj drzavi zvanoj "Balkan" gdje vojska nosi srpska obiljezja na kapama, slovacki grb na kamionima, u klubovima pusta srpski rap i pije se rakija, a ljudi pricaju bugarski jer je vidi vraga tam i snimano. Bez obzira na povremenu losu glumu, ruzne CGI tnkovske i bazuka projektile i ultrblesave situacije cist u redu film koji se definitivno ne moze shvatiti ozbiljno.

The main character is a dense idiot, no bullet ever hits a vehicle anywhere except the radiator, the plot's simple, and the final shot doesn't care if it makes sense or not. So much fun to watch go down in flames. While watching this, my friends actually started contemplating whether directors know their movies are this bad from the get-go, or if they think they're amazing the whole way through.
User Review - 6/10 by Gerard DA good eighties style actioner. The bad guys are the ones that shoot innocent villagers in the head in slow motion. Don't expect nuances in this flick. Dolph Lundgren is chased by Hummers, tanks, an entire army, bad CIA dudes, but hey, it's a piece of cake.
