The three small families bring tremendous life to the villa. Only one thing gives the caring Hilde a headache: All three daughters live together with their partners in a civil marriage. If only they were married. Unfortunately, her lectures on the advantages of a regular marriage are met with ridicule and deaf ears. But then the "old uncle" Volker turns up completely surprisingly for a visit. As a pastor, it is said, he has been leading a religious mission in Africa for decades. Completely horrified by the "sinful" dissolute life of Susanne, Anja and Regina, he presents the young ladies with an ultimatum: either they get married within three weeks, or he transfers his share in the villa to the church - and then it would be over for good happy shared flat. Out of necessity, the Reimer daughters throw themselves into the wedding preparations, much to the delight of mother Hilde. What the brides-to-be have no idea: Uncle Volker is actually Hilde's late love, amateur actor Theo. But while Hilde is enthusiastically planning the celebrations, her daughters begin to reevaluate their relationships under the pressure of approaching marriage. And this leads to some turbulence, jealousy and relationship crises - after all, to Hilde's great horror, the sisters even want to cancel their weddings completely. But she had arranged everything so cleverly. The three couples reconcile just in time - but when the big day finally arrives, everything turns out very differently than planned.
