In a Scottish inn, the owners, employees and guests are reunited in the bar. Out of the blue, a flying saucer lands nearby and a woman dressed in black leather like a dominatrix with a cape arrives in the bar armed with a ray-gun. She explains that she is Nyah from Mars, and she was heading to London. However her spacecraft collided with an airplane and was damaged; therefore she had to land to repair the saucer. She also explains that she is looking for men to breed her female race since the male population is dying after warfare between males and females and they need offspring. Nyah has the robot Chani to help her to capture men, but she wants that one of the men volunteers to go with her to Mars. Who might be the volunteer?

Apparently all Martian women are ovulating and need Earth men to fulfill the job.After impressing her hostages with a huge walking toaster, she kidnaps a male and proceeds to get blown up attempting to leave our atmosphere. |

| User ReviewScott WCharming British sci-fi from 1954 sees small Scottish pub visited by a leather clad woman from Mars. Hugh McDermott is the square jawed token American, while the rest of the cast includes Hazel Court, Adrienne Corri and John Laurie who is marvellous as the landlord. The effects are really quite good, although laughable by today's standards and the sets are impressive. Great fun!! |

I missed my nap during the in-between class break, talking with my friend, Felicia about an instructor she has right now that I'm disputing with about a past grade. After my final class at 6:45, I picked up Clover from school...and came home to go to bed....(my last day before I go to work. Today, we finally have our scenes on camera for Acting class...(that's good, because I'm getting tired of going over and over the same scene)...LOL. Then, I have to put my Graphic Matching project on MiniDV for Lexi because she won't be at school tomorrow....going to Massachussetts to show her film... *** I am contemplating something: Writing a pilot to either a Captain Robert April miniseries, DS9 telefilm, or a Space:1999 reboot. (Other ideas was for: Land of the Giants, or Seaquest DSV).... *** I got up at around 5 today, and had two or three(?) bowls of cereal....(wheat bran sprinkled with sugar)...however, I'm still hungry.... I have a taste for something...cheesy...(like 7-11 nachos, or those Taco Bell nachos you get with the steamed burrito).... Frack... |

| User ReviewJoe MBritish atomic age B fodder - notable for a static script, appalling acting and some almost acceptable special effects (poor robot design aside). Tremble in fear as Nyah arrives to steal away the men of Earth! Boggle in disbelief as she blinds the natives with her nonsense techno-babble! Fall to the floor drunk after matching the cast whiskey for whiskey! Sleep through the last reel as the action fails to climax! Actually its not such a bad piece of hokum, notable for a few famous names such as John Laurie, Hazel Court and Adrienne Corri in the cast. Edwin Astley (The Saint, Dangerman, Department S) provides the music, while a certain Gerry Anderson acts as sound editor. B movie bliss... |
