Leave your thoughts about Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village-.
Austin ChronicleJasmine LaneWhile first film Mugen Train was a box-office smash and a rare instance of using the movie format to more succinctly and dynamically tell the next arc of the Demon Slayer story, To the Swordsmith Village is – and I can’t stress this enough – just a music videoesque recap of the first couple seasons followed by three episodes sloppily jammed together, with even their intro and outro segments still fully intact.
User ReviewKoolMBFirst off it was awesome to see the climax of the last arc and the beginning of the next arc on the big screen. This was never marketed as a "movie" but as a early preview of next season.
User Reviewmikesgold2KDwa najlepsze odcinki poprzedniego arcu w połączeniu ze świetnym wstępem do nowego ogląda się świetnie choć końcówka trochę zwalnia tempo względem reszty seansu
User ReviewFrostyKalePeople are complaining as if it was a movie when it wasn't advertised like that. Amazing to see the last 2 episodes of season 2 on the big screen and seeing an hour episode of the new season is lovely. Could have removed the credits but I don't mind very much. You get what you pay for.
User Reviewalejandro970Here it should be noted that it is not a new film, but rather a fusion of episodes from the end of the second season, and a plot that serves as a bridge for the next one. The action level isn't quite even but it still doesn't disappoint.
User ReviewJuno_GinIt’s good, but nowhere near as good as Mugen Train. It’s mostly the last two episodes of season two, and the beginning of season 3.
User ReviewAmorphousAlyxI would like to start off by saying that, of course, it was really good, lots of fun, visuals were STUNNING, and left me beyond excited for the rest of Swordsmith Village. With that being said, it’s important to note that advertisement for this animation was quite misleading. I don’t think “movie” is a good term to use to describe what this was. What this film comes down to, essentially, is a two-episode recap followed by episode one of Swordsmith Village. This is also without removing cuts in between for intro/outro sequences(which are nice! However, I personally feel that not so much time of the film should have been occupied by intros and outros). With all that being said, honestly, even if they had advertised it to be exactly what it was, I still would’ve gone to see it. I love the experience of seeing anime series’ that I’m enjoying but in theaters. Overall, I’m glad I went, and I wouldn’t take back the experience. Just know that, if you’re reading this and you haven’t watched it yet, please reconsider if a recap and one episode is NOT what you are interested in! It definitely comes off strongly as a cash grab from Crunchyroll(?)’s end of things, however I won’t go badmouthing anybody or anything since I’m fairly unknowledgeable about these things. Just know if the value is worth it to you. It was worth it to me, but it won’t be the same for everyone! Thank you for reading, if you did.
User ReviewFlameHaze10Why and why make a movie advertised as a sequel but 2/3 of the movie is a recap of the previous season? Why not just release an episode? Comparing this to Mugen train, this is absolute disappointment.
User Reviewamerino1004First of all they show the 2 last episodes of last season and then only 45 minutes of the SV. I should be ok if they at least show us delete parts of the las episodes but they just put the last 2 including credits! My wife my daughter and I are so disappointed and after that I was thinking and ask for a refund but my wife so wisely just say don't blame the theater blame the producer and she's right... just Don't watch it just wait a couple days I'm pretty sure they'll star on CR whit the first episode.
User ReviewSeyonMasI've never been quite so upset at such a brazen cash grab. This is not a movie. It is a recap and three episodes from Crunchyroll. They even kept the episode credits in and the intros. You'll see the end of the entertainment district again, practically twice because of how the episodes also do small recaps. Then, you'll see 15 minutes of the next season. This is not a movie, its a preview for very little. Avoid this if you're hoping for something exciting and new and have already watched the currently available episodes. And dishonor on the shameless cash grab this movie is.
