We meet Doctor Lloyd Clayton at the funeral of his twin brother, evil magician Elwyn. Zolarr, Elwyn's hunchbacked servant, accuses Lloyd of Elwyn's murder, but Lloyd claims it was self-defense. Lloyd's niece Gayle and her fiance David soon find that Elwyn's evil influence is still at work.... (Full plot summary below)

| User ReviewGreg SDespite being pretty much a weaker version of Dracula (complete with Dwight Frye playing a subservient madman that shouts "master" --but hey, he's good at it), the film is not a complete rip-off due to its "evil twin" angle, which makes this film unique in the vampire movie genre. Zucco makes the film, giving a solid, and appropriately creepy, performance. He does not, however, have the appeal of Lugosi, as much as the film may try to emulate that. |
