musicOMH.com - 6/10 by Anton Bitelgo[es] through all the clichéd tropes of addiction, recovery and terminal illness while at the same time repeatedly subverting them.
Shadows on the Wall - 4/10 by Rich ClineAn in-your-face Trainspotting-like odyssey that's almost too much to take in, even as it has a few emotional high points.
User Review - 10/10 by Dave WAlthough Dangerous Parking seems to start out like another British gangster/lads film, it actually turns out to be a moving drama. I had no prior knowledge of the book on which this film was based and just assumed it was going to be another London-set cockney swear-fest. But it is in fact quite an efficient and powerful piece of cinema. The main role is played by the incredibly talented Peter Howitt, who also wrote and directed the film. Although he may not be a household name, you will have almost certainly heard of his work before. His most high-profile movie is probably Sliding Doors with Gwyneth Paltrow, but this is a much heavier work. With a good supporting cast with the likes of Sean Pertwee and Saffron Burrows, Dangerous Parking is a serious movie about a human condition laced with delicate sprinkles of humour in just the right places. This is a film that is worth seeing.
User Review - 10/10 by Nicholas Lbrilliant movie... british movie making - at its best!
User Review - 10/10 by Cindy RThis is an incredibly intense film that stayed on my mind for months after watching it - finally I ordered the book from Amazon but unfortunately the film was only released on a type of DVD that can't be played on my standard U.S.-manufactured DVD player. All I can hope for is that one day whatever movie provider I have will replay it so I can record it. It's quite a life-changer and I highly recommend this movie!

User Review - 10/10 by John SI foolishly decided I wasn't going to like this film much within the first few minutes, even the opening credits made me think "oh no". Well that just shows that I don't always know best!! This is an absolutely brilliant film, following the life and loves of a foul-mouthed, hedonistic film director who is most definitely an alcoholic. I didn't know the story before watching the film and would recommend that anyone who hasn't seen it and wants to see a fantastically acted and plotted film doesn't find out too much before watching it.
User Review - 8/10 by Jim TI really liked this one!! It is a hidden gem!! From press packet: Based on the critically acclaimed novel by the late Stuart Browne, Dangerous Parking tells the story of Noah Arkwright, a cult director in the indie film world, whose life is on a crash course, with Noah steering himself towards his own destruction. Noah's life is one of success -and excess. Everything - drink, drugs, girls, fame - that Noah can get his hands on he wolfs down with an insatiable hunger. But he is running towards a brick wall - alcoholism and drug addiction have him firmly in their grasp - and Noah has no interest in acknowledging either until Kirstin, a young alcoholic who has 'seen the light', manages to convince Noah that he is heading for destruction and sets him on the path to reclaim himself. With the help of his best friend Ray, Noah attempts to right his ship -and when fate sends him a guardian angel in the shape of cellist Clare Mathesson, Noah tries even harder to shift his focus from self abuse to self preservation and onto the road to selflessness... Written, Directed by and Staring: Peter Howitt (Sliding Doors with Gwyneth Paltrow) Winner of Best Director Award at the Tokyo International Film Festival. "Even the fast lane comes to an end" Synopsis from web site: Noah Arkwright is a man on the edge: For years lauded as the best thing about the British Film Industry, success has not been the only thing that has gone to his head. When Noah makes a drunken pass at Kirsten one day, he finds himself forced to face up to his demons and admit that either he kicks the booze, or faces death. Though a tough course to navigate, rehab propels Noah into an encounter with his guardian angel Clare, the woman who might just be able to save him. But just when it seems he might be happy, fate deals Noah the cruelest of blows? "British Film making at it's best" MSN Movies said Dangerous Parking is by no means an easy viewing experience, but those who accept the challenge will be rewarded with one of the most moving films this year.
User Review - 8/10 by Per AEn regissör av en bunt pissljumna stolpskott ingen vill minnas smäller plötsligt till med en svinbra brittisk modern klassiker och stjäl dessutom hela showen i huvudrollen. Wow.
User Review - 8/10 by Damion SNearly did not watch this after seeing the poor ratings it had on Blockbuster. How wrong can people be. Really enjoyed this film and I have to admit to finding Howitt's performance solid and interesting throughout - at last those "Bread" days are behind him. When you coinsider he wrote, starred and produced this little gem its all the more impressive. Wouldnt be a brit flick without Sean Pertwee, who is....the usual Sean Pertwee in this film but the films content is interesting, whilst being well acted. A great drama that slightly tugs at the heart strings but not enough to ruin the slightly gritty tone to this. Give it a whirl. I did and loved it !!!
