TIME MagazineRichard SchickelWoods' angry energy is clarifying as well as terrifying, and when he unleashes it (usually without warning), the effect is to focus our attention where it belongs, not on a suspense story but on the mysteries of human behavior.
Spirituality and PracticeFrederic and Mary Ann BrussatReally clicks as a modern day morality play.
KFOR Channel 4 NewsBlake DavisOne of the best courtroom dramas ever made, and a movie that almost nobody knows about. A terrific picture.
Washington PostHal HinsonRuben relies too heavily on Woods' whirring turbines to power his scenes.
User ReviewNancy BJames Woods was just wonderful in this role. He gave the character all the heart and soul that it needed to make a true believer out of me.
User ReviewDiana WJames Woods is Just Wonderful. Early Pretty Boy Downey and I adore Margaret Colin, a highly under-rated actress. Had already fell in love with her in As The World Turns.
User ReviewCandan EA movie with great acting. It is a well made courtroom drama with an interesting story. I felt the beginning had much more humor but after James Woods' character began to come back to hi sold self he realized how important this case was. James Woods was great in the movie and it is pretty much his character going through the story and trying hard to win the case. Robert Downey Junior is his assistant and there are also some other notable actors in the film. It is a great courtroom drama and has a nice style in presenting the story.
User ReviewDarrylWon't know until the end. The way thrillers are suppose to be. Awesome Movie!!
User ReviewMEC rMan, what an incredible flick this is. If you haven't seen this, rent it *now*.
User ReviewL-Mo MSaw this movie up late one night on acid. Killer. Woods inspired me to pursue a law degree, so I could yell in the court room "Despise my client if you will, loathe him if you must...I DO!!!"
