User ReviewNich OCyborg Cop is one of the greatest of a specific kind of bad action movie from the early 90s. There is no camp, no irony, no winking smirk at the audience or acknowledgement of budget constraints. Everything about this movie is so serious and stunningly non-self aware that it is truly a thing of beauty. The titular Cyborg may get 5 minutes of screen time. Watching people terrified as they hold themselves back from escaping his staggering gait is delightful. He punches his hand through a guy's head. The look on the guys face is priceless. Science! The love roller coaster between Bradley and Shaw features some of the bar nothing worst acting ever. I've seen this movie a dozen times and it still fills me with joy, this kind of bad movie just can't be made anymore. Smug cynical self awareness is so prevalent these days that you simply won't find any new movies this poor who appear to be gunning for Oscars with their overreaching eagerness.
User ReviewMichael WEx Drug Enforcement Agent travels to Caribbean island to locate his missing brother, who (as it turns out) has been transformed into a mindless cyborg assassin by a drug dealing industrialist. Contains some fine storytelling. There are two sequels.
User ReviewJon WA former DEA agent locates his brother on a Caribbean island, but learns that his sibling has become a cyborg in a cruel experiment.l John Rhys-Davies is cheerfully villainous, while the rest of the cast must grin and bear tiresome cliches.
User ReviewSteve S*1/2 (out of four) A low budget sci/fi action movie with the always tough David Bradley. The plot centers around a man trying to save his brother from an evil dude who wants to turn him into an android. Unintentionally funny at times, but mostly lame.
User ReviewTom CWow, no reviews? This movie is amusingly bad. It's just awful. A group of soldiers jump wait high into a lake, guns and all, only to look lost while they wait for a boat. Then they go and shoot up a base for no obvious reason, and most of their guns don't even make any sounds. Men catch fire for no reason. Houses explode from machine gun fire. Simply, wonderfully, terrible.
User ReviewShane Jdreadful cheap actioner from the 90's and boy is it cheap. the cyborg is cyborg because he's wearing silver clothes on his arms and foot, also a weird headset that looks like it was put together on blue peter in this. Somehow they managed to get john rhys davies? and he hams it up to the max,his accent seems to change multiple times over the course of the film. I think he was playing a joke on everyone? The action scenes are poorly done and david bradley was better in the american ninja series of films. The love intrest is shoehorned in for the exact reason they need a love scene and an actress who would get her boobs out. for her boobs alone this gets an extra half star.
