A political thriller that charts the exploits of disillusioned ex-hacker Terell Lessor. A return to New York, coupled with a humiliating attempt at getting a new job, serves as the catalyst for him to take action against those who slighted him in the past. Employing strategically placed spy-cams, and operating in tandem with backer, strategist and lover Olivia, he captures compromising footage and broadcasts the edited clips via a newly-minted website. Recognizing the power of their model, the two begin to target CEOs, politicians, those who represent the worst of the establishment. Soon Terell's every move is front-page news, law enforcement is after him, and copy-catters are taking his abduction-and-confession model to extremes he never imagined. With these forces colliding, Terell has to decide whether his actions are sustainable - a decision that will compromise his agenda, his first taste of romance, and his physical wellbeing.

User Review - 10/10 by Lee MFascinating. It definitely is not a big budget film. You watch this film and while there isn't a huge story line and it appears to be moving slow at first, that changes. It is a brilliantly complex underlying plot and ends up with a fantastic ending. Excellent acting. Well worth the $1.00 at the redbox!
User Review - 6/10 by Jeff BInteresting story but perhaps not done as well as it may have. I only watched the whole film because the story interested me. The ladies were not impressed.
User Review - 6/10 by Ben SA slow start. An interesting way of developing the story. Terell does an interesting thing, but then seems to give it all up just when he achieves the power to make all the difference. In doing so he never truly makes up for the kidnappings he committed. An interesting film...
User Review - 2/10 by T AStefan C. Schaefer's Confess is a thriller that ends up flat like a piece of paper. The plot revolves around a genius hacker who employs over the top methods as his form of protest against the various types of "well off" people. This hacker is written to be a hero, yet this film hardly makes him seem that way. The movie does take a while to get going and when it does, there is just so much about it that isn't entertaining. The run time doesn't even reach 90 minutes, but it doesn't feel that brief as there are moments where too much time is spent and others with not enough. The final 10-15 minutes is a rush, when comparing it to the rest of the film, and this is a disappointment. This is where it seems that things will pick up, but all is quickly rushed away to the credits.Eugene Byrd's acting is quite unemotional, however he still comes across as the leader of the film. Why? Because all the rest of the characters aren't written up to the level of Byrd. Ali Larter is OK with what she is given and there is no need to mention anyone else. The concept for Confess starts out with potential. Unfortunately, this film never goes farther than that.
User Review - 2/10 by Mark JI watched only for the presence of Ali Larter. It was a Amazon Prime recently added movie. How cheap they are! This movie was worth 50p. Add a few famous faces and a black guy who looks like Raheem Sterling in dreadlocks. Melissa Leo overacts her way through. She has a "born old" face. Frances McDormand also. They always look 20 years older than they are. Ali Larter is fine. Some nice jeans booty shots around the hour mark. Theres a guy in the movie who looks like Ben Affleck and Casey Affecks having meshed their faces. I knew this was old when I saw David Harbour with hair. Anyway avoid this crap. Its shit.
