VarietyEmanuel LevyLike other Irvin films, this noir saga (more of an urban Western) is burdened with a philosophical layer that's incongruous with the basic tale, though acting by Keitel, Dorff, and others is good.
Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzA grim and violent derivative revenge thriller.
User ReviewScott Sone of the coolest movies you never saw!! steven dorf is the shit!
User ReviewMichael AWhat an awesome and underrated crime drama! See it and tell me if Harvey Keitel is not absolutely perfect in it.
User ReviewCaitlin FI really loved this movie Harvey Keitel really impressed me in this movie a woderful performance by Harvey Keitel and Stephen Dorff in a cat n' mouse game to find $40,000 in cash that is payed to set up Roy Egan. Roy acutall y did not know that he had been set up and he did know that Skip did betray Roy and the heist group after the robbery. :) Love Harvey Keitel Forever he was soooooo great in this movie!!! <3
User ReviewMarc RModern 'Point Blank'. Well worth a look, especially for Stephen Dorf
User ReviewChristopher BHarvey Keitel dominates the screen in this action flic. I am angry the dvd cut the original ending.
User ReviewAnthony SVery cool. A real mish-mash of L.A. Great performance by Harvey Keitel.
User ReviewDouglas BI don't understand the poor ratings this one got. I love the revenge motif and this is an exemplary example of it. Harvey Keitel, I think, often doesn't get his due. He's pretty good in this one. Plot moves right along and is all in all pretty satisfying.
User ReviewJeffrey MCity of Industry is transformed from an average revenge crime thriller, to a very good one because of a commanding and brooding performance by the criminally under-appreciated Harvey Keitel, who seemingly channels the intensity from his role in Bad Lieutenant.
