Movie NationRoger MooreAn indie mystery-thriller that's all puzzle and no heart.
User ReviewManu SFab movie but not too most people's taste because it has a hundred interpretations and you are left to find meaning yourself. This is my interpretation. Spoiler Alert. First thing is to decide what is real and what is a dream. The real bits are at the end. I think Alex is the guy in the wheelchair she killed if he had grown up. She needs her soul to be at peace after the terrible crimes she has committed on this boy. The only way that can be achieved is if that boy gets his revenge (notice how reluctant he is, cause she knows he loves her) by killing her. So in the beginning she is trying to run away from her miserable situation with the wheelchair guy all grown up. But her past catches up with her in this Town and she can't get away from it. Alex's story is then just her dreaming about how he kills her; and both their souls can then rest in peace.
User ReviewIsly RThis is a fantastic movie, especially to fans of David Lynch during the 90's (think Lost Highway). This is the kind of director that we need now because Lynch doesn't have too much time left. I highly recommend.

User ReviewHarold SBe prepared to be tripped out. Scarlett/J. Malone is an amazing character to behold. Worth it just for that. Lost in the otherworld!
User ReviewSteven JQuite the puzzle if you go with it. Took me awhile to get it but once I did, very cool. The mood is very strange and always keeps you uncomfortable. My girl figured out ending before I did which pissed me off. Jena Malone is great. Not for all but very intriguing nonetheless. Cool locations too.
User ReviewJay RThe lead actor is kind of a drag and the movie becomes less and less original and interesting in its second act, but Bottom of the World features plenty moments of skillfully inspired surrealism, a very good performance by Jena Malone, and more than enough ideas to think about after its over.
User ReviewKelly AI honestly didn't finish the movie. The first 30 minutes I was interested, but after that the movie lost my interest. The plot seemed like something I woulmd like. However it was disorganized and all over the place. I didn't want to waste my time..so I didn't finish it.
