JS was charming and believable as the character, and I will be purchasing the DVD in January. Everyone should see the movie and make their own opinion about her acting.

She plays southern girl Katie Gregerstitch perfectly. She brings to life an extremely loveable character no one with a heart could dislike.The movie begins with Katie's fianse'e Billy (Drew Fuller) moving to New York for a six-month modeling job. Three months into that job, Katie gets a bus pass to New York from her grandfather (played by the funny Willie Nelson). She surprises Billy by visiting him in the morning, only to see that he is sleeping with another woman (all of this happening on Valentines Day)! Heartbroken, Katie stays with her cousin Haley (Rachael Leigh Cook). While delivering something for Haley at her job the next day, two dirty, big business corporate schemers (Penelope Ann Miller and Andy Dick) run into her, assume she is ditzy, and manage to get her a job as a secretary, and plan to use her to climb to the top of the company. Katie proves to be a great secretary, (after a few stumbles) and manages to save the company from them, with the help of her newer, much nicer boyfriend, Ben (Luke Wilson). Along the way, Katie learns that being an independent woman is important. She also learns that you must have some ambition in your life, or you won't get anywhere. The film teaches not to assume all blondes are dumb. The film is hilarious, warm-hearted, fun, and shows that Jessica Simson is well on her way to becoming a legitimate movie star. On a side note, Betty, the former secretary, (Karen McClain) is a hysterical, sassy black woman. Her one scene kept me laughing for the whole movie, and I hope to see more of her in other movies! I highly recommend this movie for anyone![/font]
