| We Got This CoveredBlake GriffinBlack Bread is one of SFIFF's more understated films, despite a few fairly grotesque moments. It has some interesting camerawork, solid performances and an intriguing story, all of which make this one worth a watch. |

| User ReviewMichael HVisualment increïble. Es nota que és cine, i no un telefilm històric tipus Carmen o Los Borgia. Parla d'una familia catalana a la post-guerra civil. Però no té cap dels tics estúpids del cinema espanyol de post-guerra fet anteriorment. De fet, l'ambientació històrica és simplement això: ambientació per un drama familiar centrat en dos nens: l'Andreu i la Marina. Veiem el món a través dels seus ulls. Els elements del franquisme presents semblen arribar-nos com els arriben a ells: com pures anècdotes, i l'acceptació de que les coses són així i els hi ha tocat viure-les. El rebuig social es manifesta clarament en els adults: el pare de l'Andreu és un revolucionari, i el seu destí es fa evident des del principi. Dic el seu destí, i no el desenvolupament, que està plagat d'originalitat. Villaronga tracta les coses com són, no les ensucra. Es pren certes llicències poètiques que crec que desentonen una mica; però són absolutament secundàries d'una història potent i dura. Els actors estan fantàstics. Tots habituals de la televisió catalana, amb algun all-star com Sergi López i Eduard Fernández. Va arrassar als Goya. No m'extranya. Gran pel·lícula. Potser als que van viure l'època els hi agrada més encara. 8/10 |

| User ReviewAndres GA different story in the after times of the Spanish Civil War. Cleverly, it mixes a thriller with the destruction of the naïve childhood of the main character. Who is good and who is bad, who is true and who lies is unclear as the events that lead to the current situation. A must to see in nowadays Spanish film making. |
