Without predators, the pesky creatures have thrived, and now evidence of their uninterrupted industriousness is everywhere -- elaborate dams, and gnawed trees being plentiful. In fact, they are completely changing the ecosystem of this island, killing the plants that shelter the penguins from the wind, and turning the island into grasslands. The locals, including the penguin keeper, are not happy about it, and wish Derek and Giorgia all the best. The trouble is, the beavers are rather good at eluding capture, working under the cover of night and disappearing in the day.
