| User ReviewMartin BIn the Cold War paranoia of the old days it was not always the Russians who constituted the greatest threat to mankind- In 1967 there was bad dreams dreamt of the chineese as well. Theese yellow evil people (according to this movie's morale) with strange eyebrows just happends to be very technologically advanced and has digged long tunnels under the pacific Ocean in order to blow up the land of the free, the U.S. A mad scientist straight from the asylum of the insane. a hot chick from the geological university and some other guy leads the way and fights the asian horror beneath the ground. Delightfully stupid movie in bright colors. 1.52 hours well spent. There is some funky music under ground provided as well |
| User ReviewTim ANot quite P.C. in this day and age. I saw it as a kid in a local drive-in. Kind of liked it (of course...seeing 'army guys' running around shooting 'bad guys' was the rage. The music, a jazz style, may not fit with the flick at all, but it wasn't too shabby. As for the plot...well, this would have to be placed in the 'weird science fiction' category: An unknown group (of Oriental descent) are secretly using a laser drill to construct tunnels under the ocean to eventually smuggle atomic weapons under the United States. I wouldn't recommend it, except for people who are really into watching cheesy bad movies. |
| User ReviewOrlok WSilly, badly made movie. Never was plausible, but you hope that the action and suspense will make you suspend your disbelief. They don't. Action scenes are poorly done, plot is so weak that you stop caring quite quickly, so no suspense. Wooden performances, they that was somehow predictable. Spot any actors in the cast you've ever heard of? If you were hoping for some Jules Verne-like adventure, you've come to the wrong movie. |
