She is welcomed by Jim Stanton and his wife Violet that are seeking a babysitter for their son Sam and they make arrangements for Friday night. Meanwhile Angie has the sensation that someone is stalking her and she goes to the police station and reports to Chief Dinneli. On Friday night, Angie's car breaks and Rick gives a ride to Angie to go to the farm. When she is alone with Sam, a stranger breaks in the farmhouse and Angie saves Sam from the man. Soon she learns that she is in the house of evil and nothing is like she thought it would be.

| User ReviewLewis COne of the most brutal, scariest best films i ever seen that won almsot 10 awards ever, if you ever had a weak stomach please do yourself a favor either close your eyes or just pretend you didn't see it all. This film is nothing but survival against someone who pulled the phone wire which will show the scare and the biggest fright of your life. The first time you watch this film this will give you nightmares. Trust me. |

| User ReviewSarah PThis is a fantastic movie. It starts out like most babysitter horror stories. A girl, Angie (played by Sarah Thompson, from the TV show Angel) moves to a new town, to go to college. As she is getting acquainted with the town, some things don't seem quite right, for example, there is a suspicious man who seems to following her. She decides to take a babysitting job that is a little way out of town. On her first night of babysitting (like in most films like this) her car breaks down, so she gets a ride from a friend. She is now stranded, outside of town, in a house she doesn't know. This is when (again, like most of these kind of movies) the suspicious man who had been following her appears outside of the house. After (the standard) chasing, running, and screaming, this film changes; it breaks from the standard. It breaks so cleanly, infact, that it is one of the best films I have seen in a long time. I won't reveal the twist, but I will say that it is awesome. What starts out as a cookie cutter babysitter film evolves, and transforms into a fantastic, astonishing film. |

The film is one part Halloween, one part House of the Devil and one part Hostel. Yet it isn't derivative at all. I liked our damsel in distress and even dug our villains. And the filmmakers nicely balanced the jump scares with slow-burn terror. This has something for every horror fan, and I'm giving it a Good. |
