High in the Mountains on a secluded farm a widowed mother dies leaving her two children alone and orphaned. Fearing being taken away and split up they keep their mother's death a secret and survive off the land with no one to rely on but each other. The sixteen year old sister is one with nature, innocent, and unaware of the evils that exist in mankind. Her ten year old brother is traumatized and mute from witnessing a disturbing incident years earlier (the death of his father) involving the town's Mayor. As the girl transitions into womanhood a harsh brutality destroys her innocence when savage hunters led by the Mayor's son attack and rape her. A social worker from a distant city arrives to investigate but ultimately it is the siblings who must come of age to protect each other and survive.

Cinema CrazedFelix Vasquez Jr.A one note and tedious thriller with a misogynist undertone that couldn't salvage an attempted dramatic "poetic justice" finale.
Los Angeles TimesMartin TsaiWhereas Haneke's films grapple with the blunt force of violence, novice filmmaker Markus Blunder just lets the violence snowball all the way down a slippery slope.
User ReviewStiven CWell written movie, with very little words said.
User ReviewBen HActress Sophie Lowe truly some one to look out for in the new strong female actress that have suprised and amazed us in recent times. Shes right up there with Saoirse Ronan,Taissa Farmiga& Chloe Grace Mortez. Her performance is made more magnectic by the fact theres no dialogue a story told in visuals and beautiful ones at that. All the performers have to convey the narritive with an odd word and by action, There is a lot of close facial acting Sophie excells at this it marks the difference between the good and the great.Finaly as a grown man I admit I cryed and cryed you feel her pain from rape so deep a mesmerising performance.
User ReviewRic EThis was an excellent film. The story is told with very few words. Vusually stunning. Emotional. Well done.
User ReviewDamjan vIt's a silent story about a desolated siblings' horror. The accent is on the scenery instead of dialogues and it's refreshing to see that.
User ReviewOrlok WNature was remarkable but movie was like Ya Watever!!
User ReviewAndy CA frustratingly silent movie with a distinct lack of dialogue. The basics of the film were quite chilling but it was tedious, long and drawn out with not much really happening for the majority of it. Not one I would want to see twice
User ReviewMichael RThis movie is 1 HR. 40 MIN. long...and there is barely a full 60 seconds worth of dialog in it. So, that makes it a bit annoying. However, the scenery is amazing, and I kind of give respect to the director for telling a story like this without a whole lot of words being spoken. It does have some suspense, but having people rarely speak, loses some of the realism. Sophie Lowe is an actress to keep an eye on though, the girl has talent!
User ReviewGreg RSomeone thought the name 'Autumn Blood' sounded way cool. Me? I think it has absolutely nothing to do with this 'meh' movie. The lead actress is an exceptional actor, but the story is dark, and devoid of many interesting twists.
