User ReviewCesare MThe savage child trope put into the medieval Japan. Powerful, but weakened by japanese chichés.
User ReviewElio VNot very deep film, but meets expectations of human instincts and life cruelty hunting us forever.
User ReviewDavid OLa película tiene una estética única y una atmósfera oscura que rayan a un buen nivel. Sin embargo hay muchas inconsistencias en una historia bastante simple y poco aprovechada. Una pena porque había potencial para hacer una historia desgarradora.

User ReviewKong MA Dark Material which is Surprisingly Humane This anime film is incredibly dark. It covers extreme poverty, hunger, cannibalism -- conditions that no one will want to see themselves live in such conditions . It explores humanity's perseverence and willpower against all odds. That said, I was surprised by the good moments especially on Asura's side. His difficult journey of discovering his identity was a heartwarming experience. I do not think its well-crafted 3D techniques poses a problem in terms of what the film is trying to deliver. Overall, while I was impressed with the film's impact and delivery, I still feel that the film did not maximize the vast potential it was given. To me, whatever the film had achieved so far could have been better if it were remodelled into a short film.
