The story begins in Egypt, where Master Shake, Frylock and Meatwad are being attacked by an oversize poodle, who kills Frylock before being destroyed by Shake. Shake and Meatwad drive off with Frylock's corpse, and meet Time Lincoln, who plans to revive Frylock; however, when the CIA break into his house, the Aqua Teens flee in his wooden rocket ship, and Time Lincoln is shot. This, however, is all revealed to be an elaborate story concocted by Shake to explain the ATHF's origin to Meatwad. Shake then explains to Meatwad that women are only attracted to great bodies, then heads off to work out on his new exercise machine, the Insane-O-Flex. Together, they go in search of a missing piece of an exercise machine that happens to be more than an exercise machine, placing them on a collision course with the likes of Oglethorpe and Emory, a pair of jagged, ridiculous creatures from the future who travel with a robot companion claiming to be the Ghost of Christmas Past. They also encounter Dr. Weird, a mad and evil scientist given to disguises and who seeks revenge against the Hunger Force; McPee Pants, a rapping spider who wears a shower cap and diaper; and the hilarious Ignignokt and Err, two-dimensional villains from the ancient days of Pokey, Atari video games.

Movie Reviews

Premiere - 10/10 by Glenn KennyIt's the stuff of not quite dreams, and it's rendered with such accuracy and hilarity that I am tempted to call Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters the most successful full-on surrealist film since Bunuel and Dali's 1930 "L'Age d'Or."
Eye for Film - 9/10 by Anton BitelAt heart, it is a stoner comedy for college kids, but it strikes just the right balance between intelligence and infantilism to please almost any viewer who has ever enjoyed adolescence
Los Angeles Daily News - 9/10 by Bob StraussIt's all as neurotically juvenile as South Park (though not nearly as sharply written and even less well-animated).
Projection Booth - 9/10 by Rob HumanickThe most scathing deconstruction of Hollywood (and the culture at large) this side of Robert Altman's The Player.
Orlando Sentinel - 9/10 by Roger MooreTo think we laughed at Boston. Then. They knew a bomb when they saw one.
Dallas Morning News - 9/10 by Tom MaurstadFittingly, the sequences when the movie actually tries to tell a story are when things bog down and fall apart. Much better is when the movie stops trying to make sense and just lets the pop-art absurdities fly.
The A.V. Club - 8/10 by Nathan RabinBegins by living up to its fans' rabid expectations, and ends by justifying skeptics' doubts. In between lie roughly equivalent levels of tedium and hilarity.
New York Post - 8/10 by Kyle SmithIt's ragged, and at times it scrapes your comedy ganglia like a cheese grater. But 15 minutes or half an hour is an ideal chunk of time to set aside for truly inspired absurdism.
Baltimore Sun - 8/10 by Chris KaltenbachIn a cinematic landscape where truly original ideas are rarer than floating food, recklessness like this deserves to be appreciated. Not understood, but appreciated.
Hollywood.com - 8/10 by Kit BowenWhile not for the faint of heart, Aqua Teen Hunger Force is perfectly suited for the seriously twisted followers--and new recruits--of the Cartoon Network show.
