As the only one who knows the industrial secret left behind by her father the enigmatic young girl will become the victim of a sinister plan to get the information out of her by taking advantage of her sensory confusion. As the plot unfolds, the two men closest to her will become crucial to its outcome: Charles, Joana's fiance and her father's right hand man, and Vincent, a young, impulsive servant working at the Prats' mansion.

However this time its more of a criminal thriller, than the super natural theme which they try to sell it as! It has actually a clever story but also a dramaturgy that suffers from rough edges. | User ReviewMarc LLe cinéma de genre espagnol du moment tourne décidément beaucoup autour des problèmes de vision. Après "Les yeux de Julia", thriller psychologique qui utilisait la cécité grandissante de son héroïne pour se doter d'un concept visuel intéressant, voici "Agnosia", du nom de cette pathologie cognitive qui empêche le traitement logique par le sujet des stimuli visuels, sonores ou olfactifs. Seulement, après quelques aperçu visuels de la maladie qui parviennent à susciter un certain malaise, "Agnosia" cesse peu à peu d'employer son idée directrice dans cette optique, et même d'en faire le pivot central du film, qui se mue alors en austère drame familial, avec un peu de romance contrariée et deux ou trois touches de fantastique graphique. Complots, espionnage industriel, coucheries, on se croirait chez des Steenford qui fabriqueraient des lentilles plutôt que de la bière. Dommage d'avoir dilué le fort potentiel "thriller" de l'agnosie dans une oeuvre finalement plus ennuyeuse qu'autre chose. |
