The factory owner Julius Dun is delighted as his daughter comes home after a year in Stockholm, but he is soon disappointed as he sees her new distinguished boyfriend. His plan is in stead that she should marry his old friend and business partner Putte Bolster, so that the firm stays within the family. In order to do so they must create an exciting past for Putte, and they choose the greatest actress of the time Greta Garbo. But things soon get out of hand.... (Full plot summary below)
