Video-Reviewmaster.comSteve CrumWar era comedy is nice turn for John Wayne, co-starring radiant Jean Arthur.
User Reviewjay nOutstanding movie John Wayne is my family favorite actor
User ReviewRobert HWay, WAY overlooked romantic comedy of the war era. Unlikely good chemistry between the two stars and anyone who believes John Wayne couldn't act should check out the haystack scene. Wonderful comic timing and as natural as the best male screen comic actors. Dying is easy, comedy is hard.
User ReviewValerie MA GREAT old Wayne - Arthur love story. Entertaining
User ReviewAlexander GThis is really a combination of a lot of different genres and has interesting moments, it just doesn't really go anywhere. The only praise I have for it is John Wayne, he still manages to be charming and cool. I think it fails mainly in that it takes the perspective of Jean Arthur's character when she really isn't all that strong.
User ReviewFirst LA really good movie, about two people who like each other, but are scared to take the chance and make that committment.
User ReviewSteve SChaotic and at times annoying little screwball comedy where all the characters act nuts just for the sake of acting nuts. I usually like JEan arthur, but here she is just too much. John Wayne comes across better, but not by much.
User ReviewCarolyn WJean Arthur is adorable, but I'm not sure she has much chemistry with The Duke. The movie lacks the charm and wit needed for a lightweight rom-com.
