Full Plot Details

Kate and her brutish boyfriend Big Al sell handguns on the streets of New York. She's smart, stylish, and self-confident, but all that leaves her when Al, in a jealous and self-indulgent rage, beats her. Three friends encourage her recovery: Vic, a woman who would like to be Kate's lover; Reilly, who runs with Al but also is attracted to Kate and repulsed by Al's violence; and, Liz, the counselor assigned to Kate from a battered-women's program. Vic and Reilly talk about killing Al, Liz gives pep talks; Kate remains frightened. Will Al's menace and Kate's dependency hold sway?

User Review - 10/10 by Derek OLoved this movie. It's basically the story of a girl, a gun, and the courage she must find in order to use it. The thing that elevates this out of your typical small crime drama are the originality of the characters and the direction they push the story. Don't get me wrong, you get your barfights, your shower scenes, your double-crossings -- they just don't happen in the fashion you think they will. All these characters have issues that are compelling and that service the plot in unexpected ways. I swear there are scenes where two characters are laying in bed where you don't know if they are going to have sex or shoot each other. Also it is a pleasant surprise as the movie progresses that even the most simple characters are more than they seem. Milla is amazing, Dorff gives a gem of a performance, and writer/director Lennon coaxes some great moments out of even the most simple, quiet scenes. Great flick.

Of course our brains to....but the only way it would work out IF, like I said, use our bodies...all in all...still love this show!!!

User Review - 10/10 by Ismael GI've always admired Milla's beauty and multi talents, but never as an actress. It was not until I saw her performance in .45 that I saw her true acting abilities. Gary Lennon did an exceptional job in writing and directing his cast (including Milla). His writing is superb and the directing is consistently focused. Gary Lennon is a true passionate artist. User Review - 10/10 by gary lDARK, edgy and honest. Was disturbed and moved. I like movies that challenge me and this film is challenging, not always easy to watch. Reminded me of Nil By Mouth and Once Were Warriors. Both gritty movies with characters that you love to hate. Thought the actors did a good job and liked the camera work. Also reminded me of Laws of Gravity meets The Last Seduction. Cool and always kept me guessing. Rent it....it is a good ride.
