Movie Reviews

Reel Film Reviews - 6/10 by David Nusair...a passable yet underwhelming confinement thriller.
User Review - 8/10 by Amy HWithin a confine space, this movie acted well and it was quite exciting and gripping the fight to survival.
User Review - 6/10 by Jennifer GSPOILERS WITHIN: This is an interesting idea, and worth watching! I am pretty sure the female characters would have died if not for the bloke, who tried out several different ideas for escape or improvement whilst they sat there and looked miserable. Some effects (like the 'dream escape') were pretty cool. This is packaged like a horror, and is set in the infamous cabin in the woods, but is actually more of a survival film. There is no gratuitous gore. My favourite moment? When she smashes the thermostat and the heater immediately comes back on. Mistaaaaake!
User Review - 6/10 by Carl MCan three friends take the heat when they become trapped in a steaming sauna? Find out in 247°F, a suspense thriller that spills from the same vein of survival Horror films as OPEN WATER, FROZEN, and THIRST. 247°F is about as interesting as you can possibly make a film about three people being trapped in a sauna, which still isn't saying much. The characters make all of the expected attempts to free themselves from the rising heat, and are at least backed by serviceable performances from Scout Taylor-Compton and her surrounding cast. One major contrivance is the convenient inclusion of college student Ian, who happens to know the exact temperatures at which he and his friends will begin to experience the negative effects of the heat before giving in to delusion, madness, and then death. This is a minor complaint compared to the disinterest in the plot, itself, which carries on endlessly with very little tension or suspense. Similar films will make up for the general inaction with a heightened sense of melodrama between the characters, but even this is found lacking.

User Review - 6/10 by David KWhy would you want to go in a heat box ? really no way to turn down the temperature from inside? The acting was pretty good in this, but the story was not that good!

User Review - 4/10 by White RSpoiler Warning 247 Degrees F was based on a true story... in the sense that some people got stuck in a cooling sauna for 10 hours. That's sort of where the excitement ends for the true story. The movie blows it up to an extremely dramatic level as movies do; having someone die, the heat never stops climbing, and the people inside are kind of ridiculous. Whoever wrote this story doesn't seem to like women, as the two girls trapped in the sauna are irrational, annoying, and 1000% useless. The one guy is the only person trying to get them out of there, sacrificing himself in many ways to get them free, while the girls complain, whine, and do nothing but hurt them all. I think it could have been an interesting concept if the characters weren't so unbearable.
User Review - 4/10 by Carabo PLástima de guión y de personajes vacios, pero no sé por qué no me ha disgustado del todo :-?
