Movie Reviews

Panorama - 7/10 by Jean-François VandeurenUn exercice tout à fait valable face auquel la réception aurait été assurément plus clémente si Murali K. Thalluri s'était exprimé en utilisant ses propres cordes vocales.
Globe and Mail - 6/10 by Rick GroenA superficial movie about the horrors of living on the surface.
Sympatico.ca - 5/10 by Angela Baldassarreopting almost frame-by-frame Gus Van Sant's technique on "Elephant", Australian director Murali K. Tharulli is shamefully exploitive in the manner in which he conveys teenage angst in "2:37".
RogerEbert.com - 5/10 by Jim EmersonThe film flows naturally around its central contrivance, employing unforced performances by unprofessional actors and a visual style that uses available light to pull you into the worlds these students inhabit.
User Review - 10/10 by Rebecca HWow. This is a powerful film. It is very in your face, and very truthful. It was almost disturbing, especially towards the end, I just started bawling..it was so realistic it was scary.
User Review - 10/10 by Charlotte Wvery emotional and well done too, good to see its australian. this movie has left me thinking even more than i usually do. beautiful.
User Review - 10/10 by Connor ALet's forget about the compelling cinematography, expertly realistic script or the acting that puts mainstream young actors to shame. Let's forget about all that for now. What is paramount in this flick is who it is that ends their life. It's not the guy who has a condition that makes him limp constantly and urinate involuntarily. It's not the openly gay pothead, or his closeted jock lover. It's not the girl who was raped by her brother and is now pregnant with his child. It's Kelly, the girl who has maybe a minute and a half of screentime. The girl who never showed any sign of anything wrong in her life; who, when interviewed alongside all the other kids talking about their issues, cheerily told of her cute baby cousin. It's always these people who do it; we never see them, you never really can tell, they only ever get very little "screentime" in our own lives. All that emotion, revealed and poured out at the film's intense, confronting and graphic climax. As Kelly fades away on the bathroom floor, revealed is her own private torture, lost among the open issues of all the other kids.
User Review - 10/10 by Kitty C5 star movie...one of my faves....not the kind you can watch over and over though...definately something everyone should see at least once before they die....
User Review - 10/10 by Laura BOnce again i feel the movie reviewers on this site don't know shit. This is 10 times the movie that gus van sant ultra boring 'elephant' was, at least this was actually engaging. Just because it was derived/inspired from an earlier film doesn't necessarily mean the earlier film was better. Anybody who appreciates great austrailian dramas shouldn't miss this amazing movie.
User Review - 10/10 by Teri Ra movie that really makes you think, and stays with you for a long time after..
