The "buzz" in Hollywood is that, "18 FINGERS OF DEATH!" will kick the butt out of the low budget martial arts movies genre and knocks us down to the ground laughing! This funny "sockumentart" of the world of Chop sockey, kung fooey, ninja poo poo, karate kidding croutching tiger stuff takes you on the journey of making martial arts movies at it's lowest. The best kept secret in Hollywood is legendary martial arts star, Buford Lee. He has starred in eight hundred and three "B" minus minus martial arts movies. But nobody knows who he is! Nobody, that is, except Ronald Mck, fresh out of inner city high school, full of unstoppable energy and determined to shoot a documentary on his favorite martial arts hero, Buford Lee. Through interviews, personal footage, private behind the scenes clips and selected action scenes from Buford's classic movies like "I KILL YOU UNTIL YOU DIE", "17 FINGERS OF DEATH!", and "THE LEGEND OF THE DRUNKEN BASTARD", you'll really experience what it is like to be the "little fish" in the big pond. The story follos Buford Lee's quest to finally make his "break out" movie, 18 Fingers of Death! When the investors pull out of the project, Ronald teams up with Buford to make their own "independant" movie. Will they succeed? Will he get the girl? Will Hollywood ever know who Buford Lee is?
Leave your thoughts about 18 Fingers of Death!.
User ReviewJonathan RLMAO martial arts spoofs. I love em' Plus one of my friends is in this film.
User ReviewJames HEXCELLENT! Everyone should watch this! Plus, I think it was Pat Morita's last film.
User ReviewChuka NWhen you talk about good movies, you talk about 18 Finger of Death! It's even better than 17 Fingers of Death!
User ReviewJP RWatched again recently! A very fun film that serves a lot of fan service to any Martial Arts buff! Lots of great references, and hilarious spoofs of many well know western Martial Artists (Steven Seefood had me it stitches!). Surprisingly as the film gets going it actually starts to shift from an all out silly spoof show and gains some real heart! But don't worry the laughs never stop! If you are not a fan of Kung Fu Cinama it may not be for you. Great supporting role from the late great Pat Morita!
User ReviewCaryl SA decent satire of kung fu movies. The characters were likable abd the plot and movie format decent. Well worth the five dollars I paid.
User ReviewArjun Aok, has some good laughs... but I've seen better.
User ReviewPrivate UI found this movie a little hit and miss. The first 20 minutes were a bit hard to sit through, but the rest of the movie made up for it, hence the 3 stars
User ReviewKat SNot as funny as the trailer made it seem, but then again I think it was just the set-up or the directing. IT did have funny moments but then again it had just plain moments.
User ReviewNate SWoohoo!! I'm the only one in all flixster that has sen this thing!! Not even flixster had it, I told them it existed hahahaha.
User ReviewNick AIf had 18 fingers and they were thumbs they would all be pointing down. Had maybe three good lines and it was spent.
