Movie Reviews

AV Club - 9/10 by Noel MurrayIt isn't exactly a waste of time, but anyone who's seen a mob movie or TV show in the past 30 years has pretty much seen 10th & Wolf.
Reel.com - 8/10 by Gary GoldsteinThere's so little satisfaction to be had from the derivative set pieces and predictable plot twists that, mostly, you just want it to be over.
Dallas Morning News - 8/10 by Philip Wuntch10th & Wolf alternates between being bloody good and just plain bloody.
E! Online - 6/10 by Caroline KepnesYou get to laugh, see some blood and even get choked up a couple of times. Not too shabby, eh?
Boxoffice Magazine - 6/10 by Ed ScheidA rather conventional plot is invigorated by intense lead performances from Marsden, Renfro and Ribisi, whose Joey is continually ready to explode in fierce anger, as well as a very good supporting cast, particularly Dennehy and Lesley Anne Warren.
TV Guide - 6/10 by Maitland McDonaghThe narrative is cluttered with backstory, and the endless digressions overwhelm the efforts of a generally strong cast.
Variety - 6/10 by Ronnie ScheibPic throws together gangster archetypes and set pieces, relying heavily on exposition to stand in for character development.
DVDTalk.com - 5/10 by Scott WeinbergComing from a guy who just won an Oscar for screenwriting? One has the right to expect something a little less rote, redundant, and oppressively familiar as 10th & Wolf.
New York Daily News - 5/10 by Elizabeth WeitzmanAt this late date, filmmakers who draw inspiration from the Mafia had better have a whole new angle to offer. Otherwise, they'll end up with a movie like 10th & Wolf.
The New York Times - 5/10 by Stephen HoldenThe characters never transcend the clichés embedded in the culture since "The Godfather."
