User ReviewS. Michael BExplains the history of poor twisted Ichi. Keeps up the gore and sickness. Great movie.
User ReviewPrivate UThis is a MUST SEE if you've seen "Ichi The Killer" ...how did Ichi become the murdering sadist that we've all grown to love? Find out here!
User ReviewDemonic DAn amazing prequel to Miikes Ichi the Killer
User ReviewLuke Hif you ever watched Ichi The Killer, then watch this movie. it shows alot of the "how" and "why" that crated the characters of Ichi and his handler... this one is very realistic though and lacks the wild effects, though it makes up for it with honest brutality in the way of very realistic fight scenes. you must see this!
User ReviewDaniel PI thought I had downloaded Ichi The Killer, after recalling to mind, several sturdy reccomendations from trusted sources, and it wasn't until long after I had finished devouring 1-Ichi, that I realized, that what i had seen was actually the prequel, rather than the Main Event. And now I sat here, drinking vodka, listening to the song which launches as the End credits bring a close to the weird, brutal action on screen...i fucking love this song. And I equally adored the film. Its strange. But then again, so are the Japs. Not just the script, the action, but the cinematogrophy, are seriously fierce, in your face, likely to shake the very foundations of any mormons stupid enough to touch such dynamite. I will not surmise the plot, or say any more, other than...WATCH THIS FILM. For its by far one of the best I have seen for many centuries... daniel Rating 9/10.
User ReviewMark BAssuming this is a student film, it was outstanding! It sucked me in and twisted my arm just right, if you know what I mean. The plot flowed perfect, leaving enough mystery to keep it engaging to the end.
User ReviewJako KThe prequel to Takashi Miike's Ichi the Killer, the plot is loosely based on the manga and delves into the development of Ichi's character. It is incredibly low budget and may seem sillt to some, but for me this was an amazing film that once and for all explains just what "the bullies" did to poor Ichi.
User ReviewGarland HI loved this movie. Considering the budget, it was done really well, and it gave a better look inside of Ichi's hillariously warped mind.
User ReviewJoe Lnot as good or as long as i would have liked
User ReviewSpooner JThis is a very simple film and yet is pretty decent as well. It is basically a must see for any true fan of Ichi the Killer, though it is not directed by Miike. Also, if we believe the old man in Ichi the Killer and he really did simply implant all those memories about bullies into Ichi's mind, than it seems like this film never really happened or it is simply a collection of the memories that were implanted into Ichi's mind. Considering aspects like this and its connection to Ichi the Killer make the film more interesting and give greater meaning to the film. It is decent enough of its own, but I would really only recommend viewing this prequel after first seeing Ichi the Killer.
