Pohlad co-founded the firm with veteran independent movie producer Bob Berney. Pohlad also owns a movie production company, River Road Entertainment, which has offices in Los Angeles and Minneapolis. It produced several notable movies, including Brokeback Mountain, A Prairie Home Companion and Into the Wild.
