Valsø Holm was born in 1906 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Valsø Henrik Holm was the son of a labourer, Charles Holm. He was bankelev in Handelsbanken and after some years as a banker, he studied acting at the William Rosenberg, and went through The royal. Theatre elevskole 1927-1929.
