He was usually seen playing an intellectual, a good friend or a snob in such films as The Incredible Mr. Limpet (with Don Knotts), When Worlds Collide, Monkey Business (with Cary Grant), The Eddie Duchin Story (with Tyrone Power) and Daddy Long Legs.
