Karl Stegger was born in 1913 in Aarhus, Denmark. Karl Stegger (Carl Johan Stegger Sørensen) was born in Århus as the sun af Marie Kathrine Sørensen (04-06-1888 - 1923) and a Norwegian seaman. He had a rough and unforgiving childhood and lost his mother as a 10-year-old.
