eFilmCritic.comBrian MckayAny reprisal of the Yojimbo character is a welcome one, even if the pairing of these two cinematic legends didn't quite produce as much chemistry as hoped for
User ReviewGeorge LSeen them all. Even the series!!! Every time i cream my pants from pleasure. Is something wrong with me?
User ReviewRita BShintaro Katsu and Toshiro Mifune in the same film....I can die happy now.
User ReviewMichael KMifune and Shintaro Katsu, THIS IS THE GREATEST SAMURAI CINEMA EVER!!!
User ReviewJason DGreed overpowering men. It works in any Western (speghetti, from Peckinpah, Treasure of the Sierra Madre) and it works well here. I love Mifune's reprising his bodyguard role, although it was weaken with some derivative and mostly cheesy romance. You never see the Man With No Name fall in love with someone, nor would you care too. But the finale was great. There's nothing better than some dying men pawing over a mound of gold sand that's blowing off into the wind. Wicked awesome.
User ReviewShouresh JThe best Zatoichi movie. Same director as Sword of Doom, Kill!, and Red Lion.
User ReviewMargarita RZatoichi is sooo tcute! He is a blind, drinking, gambling samurai. Zatoichi is the avenger of the poor, weak and down trodden. And he really knows how to wield his cane sword.
User ReviewBJ WOne of the funniest entries so far, gotta love the always great Toshiro Mifune.
User ReviewLarry LTwo legendary swordsmen: the blind masseur, Zatoichi and Akira Kurosawa's manipulative Yojimbo character meet in this surprisingly epic tale regarding the insecurity that follows acts of redemption. The incredible on-screen chemistry parading itself between Shintaro Katsu and Toshiro Mifune in conjunction with its striking colors and ace cinematography make Zatoichi Meets Yojimbo a curveball of a samurai classic.
User ReviewKumar MI love both characters! It was great to see them together!
