| User ReviewJames HThis Roy Rogers western has more substance than most of his films. Good story and very enjoyable with welcome touches of levity. |
| User ReviewGreg WAnother Roy Rogers film made in 1940 by Republic Pictures so don't expect to much in the way of Fancy, I think western movies in this time frame were meant for people in the south and out west. In this one Roy plays a very young Wild Bill Hickok who helps the pony express and also helps a gold transfer that is robbed by a local saloon owner who also has ties to John Wilks Booth, in this movie we see the end of the civil war, Lincoln Assassinated and more, A black & white gem that can be seen for free on the internet as its a public domain film. My copy is part of a Mill Creek 20 film collection featuring Roy Rogers. 3 Stars. |
