In the Middle Ages, Erik and Jason seek out his compatriot Malachy and force him to return to his homeland. When they arrive, they find that Malachy's father, the King, is dead and their lands are completely devastated. Soon, witch hunter Kramer meets Malachy and tells him that a coven of witches led by the evil Red Queen is responsible for the destruction of the crops. Malachi teams-up with Erik, Jake, Kramer and four warrior-thieves to find the Red Queen. But the witch is very powerful and the skilled warrior Jozefa protects her.

Unfortunately, the film is a lame, boring and messy adventure with poor special effects and acting.. The verbose plot associated to the low-budget and soap-opera conclusion makes the film painful to watch. Further, Luke Goss is too week for the lead role of a king; MyAnna Buring is gorgeous but also weak for her important role of a warrior...not worth watching....

User Review - 4/10 by Adrian Lthis movie isn't so bad for what I'm assuming is a low budget film. the settings and costumes were great and the story line behind the plot was really interesting BUT for the most part the execution of the story (how it played out) was not so good, at times the dialog was too wordy (saying things in a way that didn't flow or drew you away from the story itself cause you were sitting there thinking, "what on earth is he talking about?"), also some of the actors needed lessons in how to act. that is why I give this movie a two stars.

Also, the title sucks. Battle for Draegonoth or Vengeance of the Red Queen would have been better and more aptly titled.

Some random guy comes out and says there's witches and we need to rid the kingdom (consisting of multiple towns and hamlets) of the threat. The way witches work or even look in this film, is not at all typical and that's always a good thing. There is no giant pots with boiling water. But there is a lot of energy beams of sorts being tossed around, basically like the force in Star Wars. The film's plot is just so slow and boring and the first half of the film is horrible. Once the 2nd half picks up, it's much better. This film will always be remembered by me for the way they portray witches, which I definitely enjoy.
