Spirituality and PracticeFrederic and Mary Ann BrussatFocuses on the right to die wishes of a sculptor who's paralyzed and provides viewers an opportunity to test their attitudes toward making choices about life and death.
Boston GlobeBruce McCabeThe inadequately and misleadingly titled Whose Life Is It Anyway? is a brilliant emotional exercise which ambitiously and heroically wrestles with the most emotional issue of all -- death.
User ReviewKerry MFabulous movie. But dont take it as gospel.
User ReviewPatrick LRichard Dreyfuss gives an incredible performance utilizing a brilliantly written script. Released in 1982 is as timely today as it was then.
User ReviewChris K KEuthanasia debate: at what point does an individuals freedom to act end, and society's right to intervene begin? After a car accident a paraplegic fights for his right to die in a moving and thought-provoking film. Much under rated, the two leads are superb. Well worth watching.
User ReviewChris NRichard Dreifuss is simply amazing as a paralized sculptor fighting for a right to die. His best role IMHO.
User ReviewKim WWas one of the films I found profoundly important when it came out in 81. We did not have the rules and regulations as we do today over handicapped persons, care of people in hospital making their own decisions about their care rather than physicians, and I loved this film. It truely supported persons being their own boss over their life. I am a nurse and let me tell you this movie did represent what did go on!!
User ReviewRebecca Bafter coming out in 1981 it finally came out on DVD. excellent thought provoking movie and the only character of Dreyfuss better than Jaws.
User ReviewFrank MStunning film which would even make a week old dead carrot think
User ReviewJuhi RA mind blowing film that delves into the depths of psychology and makes us realize how much mental trauma a person can undergo, even a person with a good humour and a cynical attitude. Brilliant acting by Richard Dreyfuss, I absolutely loved him. He made me cry with his speech in the court room. Brilliant.
