| User ReviewRia BClever, rhythmic, visually appealing and the best cocktail of hilarious and frightening, Welcome to Willits is the kind of film that sticks with you. Great for dates, age appropriate sleepover parties and surprisingly good for feminists - the writing is conscientious while maintaining the ridiculousness and gory aspects one craves from a classic creature feature. Bill Sage is fantastic - you can't take your eyes off him and Sabina Gadecki is lovable with Anastasia Baranova sweetly and strongly rounding out this horrifying family crisis. | User ReviewAnthony BWelcome To Willits is a blatantly stupid yet surprisingly clever psychological/pseudo sci-fi horror comedy that is not without flaws. Fortunately flaws are a requirement when you are shooting for midnight movie status and Welcome To Willits is doing just that, if only that. This film is original, whacked out, and pretty damn funny even if the deliberate pacing can get a little frustrating at times. Overall though, it's violent and weird and gives its only recognizable cast members Rory Culkin and Dolph Lundgren enough to do to justify their involvement. High art this is not but rather art for those who are high. |
