KPBS.orgBeth AccomandoThe film reveals the penchant of South Korea filmmakers to mix every genre imaginable into one film. This one blends goofy comedy, war drama, tragedy, action and social commentary for a highly entertaining ride.
thelondonpaperStuart McGurkThis does risk becoming a badly-dubbed episode of 'Allo 'Allo! - but after you get past the sitcom premise, you'll find an engaging and witty little war parody.
All Movie GuideJosh Ralske...offers some valuable insight into Korean culture.
rec.arts.movies.reviewsLouis ProyectAn antiwar film dedicated to South and North Korean reconciliation.
User ReviewElliott NOne of the greatest anti-war movies ever filmed.......highly recommmended
User ReviewSabrina TVery original and interesting. I don'l like war movies but this one is so different that i consider it an awesome gem. There are no other movies like this.
User ReviewMikel KTotally not what I was expecting. The trailer for the film on another DVD made this look like an intense Korean War film - but in reality is a magnificent human comedy with copious amounts of surrealism. Imagine, if possible, Brotherhood meets Amelie! A remarkable cinematic tour-de-force of anti-war satire and profound humanity. One of my new favourite films of all time and one that shouldn't be missed!
