User ReviewWes SThis wins the award for the most terrible movie I've ever seen. That is quite an achievement. Congratulations.
User ReviewJim G3 of 5 stars to this average sci-fi movie. Set late in WWII, some ancient eggs are discovered which hatch to deliver a few hundred flying dinosars. A bomber is forced to land on that island and you can pretty much guess the rest. Below average special effects with composite shots that look obviously composited. Too many bad composites. Oh, did I mention the bomber has an A-bomb on-board? Wanna guess the ending?
User ReviewJacob PAn interesting SyFy flick. A little slow at times, but still has a pretty cool story, and some pretty good graphics...for a SyFy movie that is..
User ReviewAndrew LWasn't as bad as the other reviews on here made it out to be. Yeah, the acting isn't great and yeah, the cg looks like something out of a PS2 game. But Pterodactyls in World War 2? How can that NOT be entertaining?
User ReviewCaroline FWarbirds is the Sci-Fi Channel original film about WW2 female pilots, trained in combat, but better serve the army by transporting "real" soldiers (I guess). They are sent on a mission to escort a small platoon (3 whole men...wow) comprised of film's only star Brian Krause (he's been in Charmed and films where he fights multiple Loch Ness monsters, and ventriloquist dummies, so yeah, he's kind of a big deal). There plain gets taken down by flying raptors. Some have called them pterodactyls, and those would be what we call retards as these raptor birds look NOTHING like what pterodactyls used to look like. Anyways, their CGI plane goes down on the birds' home island where people are killed off camera (no gore, little blood, 100% bland). In all respects, the film had a decent story to it, but 1945 people were very lame, so these characters were very lame for the most part. The rampant use of CGI was enough to make me want to bash my skull in. Yes, this film has more holes in it than a dead hooker with 102 stab wounds. Overall, not very good.
User ReviewDarren MThis movie could have been pretty good but it's death was in the details. Small things like 2 dimensional characters, stiff writing, lacking computer graphics were some nitpics. But there were also some colossal mistakes. 1. Where are the smokes? In any WW II movie you always have people smoking because they really did smoke alot back then. 2. The girls lipstick and hair dos lasted way to long for a tropical island. 3. All that whining about the A bomb being a bad thing. Back then any American that heard of a bomb that could blow up a city would say "Hell, let's drop two!" and we did. 4. It was really stupid to expect anyone to believe that ANYTHING that flaps it's wings can travel at 300 MPH. And finally 5. The cover art shows several types of aircraft, NONE of which were used in the movie.
User ReviewChloe CActing, Action, makeup & FX so bad it's sniggery good. Strictly only for historic fantasy fanboys with thick suspension-of-disbelief goggles.
User ReviewJenn TInteresting premise, let down by dodgy CGI and ropey actors. Admittedly, Lucy Faust is quite sweet as Hoodsie.... There's a whole shit load of errors though, from the US Truck in Japanese territory, to the fuel barrels being hoisted onto the back of the truck (that's one strong girl.....) But i do like the hairstyles....
