The emphasis is on the argument between the two main characters, in a way competing to prove whose nationality is more impressive, with the direct question "Which is better? French or Italian?" Building upon improvisation throughout the entire process, it feels more like we are witness to a lively relationship between a young boy and girl, who seem to be having a never-ending argument.
