EricDSnider.comEric D. SniderIt's a high-concept comedy, but it's down-to-earth and accessible, even a little touching.
Boxoffice MagazineAmy NicholsonThe production quality is modest yet assured, as is Galifianakis who dampens down his stage presence and lets his great bushy beard be his most dominant and memorable trait.
Reel Film ReviewsDavid Nusair...a seriously oppressive and downright unwatchable piece of work.
User ReviewWright AThe fact that there are some people out there who didn't like this movie, just shows how important this movie's commentary on our society is. The role of his brother just shows how hard it is for people to live free when he is finally chased down by cops, and the realization everyone makes at the end is the true breaking point.
User ReviewRandall TThe movie was captivating and enjoyable to watch. The characters were strong and so was the plot. It was interesting to watch this alternate reality in which the only real difference is that people are exploding from unhappines. Elements of this film kept bringing my mind back to 1984 by George Orwell. Even though there are some key difference, there were many similarities. The only thing I would change about this film is its genre. This was not a comedy. This was a drama. Even though there were a few funny bits here and there, the overall tone and message of the film keep it from being a comedy.
User ReviewSean VIncredible film. Witty and thought provoking, without being too far fetched in its attempt to make you value your individuality.
User ReviewErasmo RPoints out the fruitlessness of the materialistic lives we lead.
