Movie Reviews

AALBC.com - 10/10 by Kam WilliamsRevealing biopic examines roots and rise of world-class Williams sisters.
Washington Post - 9/10 by Liz ClarkeThe documentary also reveals the sisters’ almost symbiotic closeness. They live together most of the year, cook together, do karaoke together and joke about how difficult it would be if one chose to get married.
Laramie Movie Scope - 9/10 by Robert RotenThis documentary shows that the Williams sisters have always been judged by a different standard than everyone else, except in terms of wins and losses. It is the Williams family against the world, and they like it that way.
Variety - 8/10 by Alissa SimonAn engaging, warts-and-all look at the Williams sisters.
The Playlist - 8/10 by Kimber MyersVenus and Serena wins points for sharing an intimate, not-always-flattering view of the sisters that isn’t PR-friendly.
amNewYork - 8/10 by Robert LevinLess hagiography than a movie about an unusual, fascinating bond between sisters.
TheWrap - 8/10 by Alonso DuraldeFans probably won't learn much they don't already know, but the film covers enough ground to feel like the movie equivalent of one of those lengthy, in-depth articles you used to get in the magazine of your Sunday newspaper.
Tribune News Service - 8/10 by Roger MooreThe fact that Serena, ranked number one again this year — the oldest woman (31) ever so ranked — means that their story isn’t over, and that if a skeptic wants to finally appreciate their historic impact on the game, he or she still has time to come around.
ColeSmithey.com - 8/10 by Cole Smithey...those hoping to better understand the physical and mental struggles that Serena and Venus Williams have gone through in their commitment to tennis, will be richly rewarded.
Total Film - 8/10 by Steve O'BrienIt doesn't quite get inside their heads, but it's brimming with vigour - rather like the girls themselves.
