Cable Raja (Simbu) who works as a cable operator is a happy go lucky chap who aspires to become rich by marrying a rich girl Pooja (Jasmine). A sex worker Saroja (Anushka) , who is run away from a brothel house and plans to lead her own life. Bharath Chakravarthy (Bharath) who is not interested in joining army though he has comes from a army background family is aims to become a famous rock star and Chakravarthy (Bharath) starts his journey with his friends to give a live performance. Prakash Raj and his wife Zara (Sonia) gets discriminated for being a Muslim and plans to leave for Dubai to make a living out there. Saranya Ponvannan is desperate to get funds for her son studies and also has some debts to be cleared. As fate has it, all these characters are present in the private hospital, a group of terrorists attack the hospital. How all these stories mix with each other in the climax makes interesting.

| User ReviewKiran Kumar CVaanam is Better than original telugu version Vedham. STR Rocks in this film. Simbu given his Best performance in acting. Santhanam with STR comedies r very funny. whereas telugu version not have much comedy. Some changes also made in prakashraj character from telugu version. And also Climax for barath character also changed from telugu version. These changes makes the film best for Tamil Audiences. STR Dialogues r superb. He is the Screen Stealer in this movie.... :) |

| User ReviewSenthilkumar S1st of all: Hats off to the Director - the real hero of this film!! Vaanam script is a brilliant piece of work and the way it executed is nice & appreciable.. All the characters got an equal importance except simbu who got 2 bits more, he shud hav avoid poking surya, danush n kurivi vijay since he is not a rite person to say so.. Apart.. Music (bgm) is gud but songs really drags the pace of the movie especially in 2nd half.. I personally feel the common audience may not understand the story coz of its clumsy nature.. But an attempt worth to cherish :) |
