Helen Brody, an FBI agent in L.A., is tasked with finding the bombs while a CIA "consultant," known as H, interrogates the suspect who has allowed himself to be caught. The suspect, whose wife and children have left him and disappeared, seems to know exactly what the interrogation will entail. Even as H ratchets up the pressure, using torture over Brody's objection, the suspect doesn't crack. Should H do the unthinkable, and will Brody acquiesce? Is any Constitutional principle worth possible loss of life?

User ReviewDagan EWhat better time for a movie like this to come out, because it really makes you question your belief system of the current political environment. It's hard not to feel some sort of opinion based on the plot after this, and if you Wiki this movie, read the possible alternate endings they had. After that, I think the ending really sinks in.
User ReviewChris HThis is a great movie and it doesn't needs a final, have a very diferents point of view, an all af them are very intresting. These guys can sacrifice themselves even their own family for their religion, these is a war, and we have to be in the winner side, don't you?
User ReviewCarlos CNeed to watch the unrated version, to make it complete

User ReviewChristopher SI appreciate movies that are more than just entertaining...the kind of movies that will make you think about it days, even weeks after you see it. This is one of those movies. Very powerful, and will force you to ask...do the ends justify the means? Just when you think you have the answer to that question, this movie will change your mind, and then make you change your mind again and again and again. (Just make sure you see it with the original ending.)
User ReviewThomas PThis is an excellent film. It had me on the edge of my seat for most of it.
User ReviewSteve PBrilliant! A provocative exploration of the moral issues surrounding torture to obtain information from terrorists in the protection of a society. Michael Sheen and Samuel Jackson are great. But it is the script that shines as it constantly surprises. At times the movie is very confronting but it's time we grappled with these very difficult questions.
User ReviewBrett RI give this movie five stars because, it made me think....I'm still not sure what to think, but I'm slowly deciphering the consequences.
