Full Plot Details

After their mother dies, teen twins Rachel and Theo are sent to live with relatives in Auckland, where they come across three alien races. The seven shapeshifting Wilberforces love all things rotten and seek to lay waste all of Earth through the power of the seven Gargantua, enormous slug-like creatures trapped, one apiece, under Auckland's seven volcanoes but soon to free themselves. Mr. Jones is an alien too, the surviving twin of a pair come to use their fire powers on the other aliens. Only twins can unleash the firepower from a set of magic stones, but after failure with a previous set of twins, Jones hasn't much hope for Rachel and Theo, though he doesn't know they can tele-communicate with each other.

I absolutely loved it and I think the movie will be great, Sam Neil is a brilliant actor. The scenery of New Zealand will be a spectacular spot in which to base the film I can't wait to see it!

But not in this movie, for example of story telling of this movies: "Legend said that twins can communicate each other with telepathy" or something like that. Surely because of that, I didnt understand what this movies wanna to tell at the beginning. So then I feel getting bored and wanna stop the movie, And suddenly I'm getting mad by what the characters played. Its started when The male twins leave his sister at home alone, and then knock-knock on the door. She want to open the door but then stopped. She understand something bad will happen if the door open. Why she's just waiting the door to be opened? Why she is not run away? Oh I hate that part, So I watch and hope that there is something different to watch. A gift because my patiente watching this movie, surely an happy ending. and My gift was that Bleeding skies views, not all volcanoes look terrible when the skies started to shine by its fire eruption. This one shows great view.

This movie adaptation pretty much captures everything I remember from the show perfectly except for a few lines I wish had been kept because they were so memorable. A very enjoyable watch.

User Review - 8/10 by Kevin FNice movie adaptation of the Maurice Gee classic. It did suffer from having a lot cut out compared to the book to fit into a 90min runtime. Effects on the Wilberforces were well done and just love Sam Neil.
