They welcome friends, cousins, relations. Strangers also crash here. Ludovique smiles and feeds everyone. That's why she never stops shopping and cooking, tidying up, washing, cleaning, baby-sitting. One day, tiredness and an encounter with a hitchhiker make her drop everything. She settles for a few days, alone, in a pension in Grau-du-Roi, near a beach of her childhood. She wants to be sure that she exists, that she is something other than a toaster or a washing machine. But, after this elopement, Frédérique will choose to return to family life.
