Leave your thoughts about Trigun: Badlands Rumble.
Orlando SentinelRoger MooreEven by the standards of some of the more cultish corners anime, this is a confusing mash-up of story and subtitling.
Seattle TimesJeff ShannonAll I can tell you is that it's loud, chaotic, colorful, occasionally amusing and aimed at a fanboy target audience.
User ReviewMarcos La lot of great action in this movie five stars : )
User ReviewNiels CGreat story, the Vash from the series is present with his donut and peace loving ways. The visual aspect is incredible. A real treat for someone who loves the series.
User ReviewMarkus AThe return of the Stampede! This movie is like the original show; fun, cool, hilarious, chaotic and just...awesome! This is truly like I said...The Return of the Stampede! Vash and friends are back and just as cool. There are also a few new characters who does fill their roles perfectly. This is Trigun!
User ReviewMloy XBadland Rumble was an incredibly entertaining, thoroughly amusing, action-packed anime OAV!!! Trigun has always been a favorite series and Vash is one of the absolute best anime characters of all time. So of couse, this was great! A good way to revisit a beloved series, with a fresh, new plot while remaining true to the humor of the old series, the interesting characters (Wolfood was especially missed!) and awesomely, creative gunplay! This was just plain cool......
User ReviewSabrina FUltimately this movie is a fun heist movie in a space western setting. It's nice to see Vash and team up to their usual antics.
User ReviewGreg L(4 Stars) Trigun: Badlands Rumble is a fun animated film with vibrant and thrilling action scenes. It helps to have seen the original TV series to understand why the characters are the way they are as not a lot of emphasis is put on character development... this is definitely made for existing fans. Like the series, it somehow makes a barren desert landscape as a backdrop an intriguing setting. It's a sci-fi western with an armed pacifist (Vash the Stampede) who is too goofy not to like. The returning side characters are cool (namely Wolfwood) and I liked Amelia, the new gunslinger in the film. The villain Gasback is kind of stock, but he's still a brutal, very western-esque villain. The comedy bits sometimes work and sometimes go on too long, but nothing is ever too offensive. Consider Trigun: Badlands Rumble a very good extended episode with upgraded animation. It's not Cowboy Bebop: The Movie great, but it's certainly worth watching.
User ReviewThomas MThink of it as an extension of an episode from the first half of the series, including all of its best parts (laughs, action, and morality play) and a budget to finally match its ambition. Much like in the Cowboy Bebop and Evangelion movies, fans will be served first.
User ReviewNiklas SWhile it may not be a revelation, Vash's glorious (and chaotic) return is more than enough to satisfy Trigun fans--and enough to pique the interest of newcomers.
