On May 29th, 2006, a mud volcano on the gas drilling site of PT. Lapindo Brantas in Sidoarjo erupted. It has been in eruption since then. The mud had drowned at least 16 villages. Until 2017, victims' compensation for the loss of their home has not been settled. Some of the Lapindo mud flood victims are now selling documentary DVDs and providing tours by motorcycles (ngojek) on the "tourist site".... (Full plot summary below)
